Israel Electric Corporation is seeking government aid of some NIS 3 billion to help cover the cost of importing the higher-cost fuel that is keeping power stations running this summer. In a letter to Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, IEC's board of directors said it was seeking financial help for the months of August and September.
