Lions Gate Entertainment enjoyed an 81% jump in revenue during the quarter ended June 30 thanks largely to the blockbuster success of"The Hunger Games," which hit theaters in late March and has grossed $684 million worldwide. The Santa Monica studio reported revenue of $471.8 million in its first fiscal quarter, up dramatically from the same period a year ago. However, the studio swung to a $44.2-million net loss, compared with $10.3 million of net income in the previous year.
