Relatives' tardiness is sign of bigger issue
Jul 8th 2012, 22:06

Dear Carolyn: I have some relatives who never arrive on time for family functions. When my parents were alive, they chose to wait until the couple arrived, but after a few times the folks decided to start without them. Now that my parents are gone, my sisters and I have decided to tell them to either arrive on time or just forget it. Are we being too rigid? I feel if you are given a specific time to arrive for any function, then you should make every effort to be there on time. Sometimes they have been two hours late. Also, they never offer to bring any food or drink and usually...

Drew Tate's injury is concerning for the Stamps
Jul 7th 2012, 22:29

Drew Tate's injury Saturday could be a significant blow to the Stampeders. Quarterbacks may need a solid team around them to find success, but they're still typically their team's most important pieces. Thus, Calgary starting quarterback Drew Tate's shoulder injury midway through the first half of Saturday's game against Toronto could have significant consequences for his Stampeders, particularly if he's out for an extended period of time. Early indications are that Tate has a left shoulder injury, and it could be dislocated; that happened to him in 2011 and had him out for...

Cricket horror show in England- get your Sunday morning Sports Fix!
Jul 7th 2012, 22:27

Our cricket horror show continues in England, Mark Webber to start from front row at British GP and Casey Stoner on pole in Germany. CRICKET WELL, do you want the bad news or the bad news? The bad news is we have lost the one-day series to England after a thumping eight-wicket loss in Durham overnight. There is more bad news - Shane Watson and Brett Lee both broke down during the match. Watson hobbled over in pain after sending down just his second ball. The 31-year-old all-rounder left the field after completing the over, the 12 of the innings, again a victim of his pace bowling workload. Lee, 35, then cramped bowling the second ball of the 16th over needing just one wicket to equal Glenn...
