Rick Snyder would sign such legislation. Snyder has told lawmakers he does not want them to send him a bill that would make union membership optional. But since his election, he has steadfastly refused to say whether he would sign a right-to-work bill if it lands on his desk. Michigan Freedom to Work Now is circulating a YouTube video in which Snyder tells an interviewer during his 2010 gubernatorial campaign that he would sign such a law.
