RICHMOND, Va. -- Election Day isn't until Nov. 6, but absentee voting is under way in Virginia for voters who meet certain criteria. Virginia allows voters to cast absentee ballots only for specific reasons, ranging from military service to work obligations, to health reasons. In-person absentee voting had to begin at least 45 days before the election or Sept. 21, and ends on Nov. 3, according to the state. Applications are available through the State Board of Elections and local voter registration offices. So far, Chesterfield and Henrico counties have reported in-person absentee voting that is outpacing the early days of absentee voting in the November 2008 election. Chesterfield County...
