The Mexican Navy said Thursday that its marines had captured a top leader of the Zetas drug gang, Iván Velázquez Caballero. Mr. Velázquez Caballero had been feuding with another Zeta leader, Miguel Ángel Treviño Morales, a Navy spokesman said. The feud had caused a surge in violence in parts of northern Mexico. Mr. Velázquez Caballero was caught on Wednesday night in San Luis Potosí, north of Mexico City.
