The Canberra Sikh Association is thankful to the leaders of various faith groups for their messages of sympathy and solidarity received in the wake of the tragic killing of Sikh devotees at the Oak Creek Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) in Wisconsin, USA. The Sikh community is also thankful to President Barack Obama for honouring the victims of the tragedy by proclaiming that the US flag would be flown half-mast at the White House and all public buildings of the federal government until sunset August 10, 2012.
