Mike Wall got the idea to name his business Streets of Gold Hearse Co. after his mother died in 2008. During her battle with cancer, his mother always had spoken about walking the “streets of gold” in the afterlife, he said. Wall’s business offers a last ride in a custom hearse that is drawn by a motorcycle. It’s a dignified way for motorcycle lovers to experience their last ride on their way to the streets of gold, he said. Wall and his wife, Tammy, have lived in the Rocky Mount area for 18 years.
