Tim Ochsenhirt was 38 years old in 1985 when he took over as chairman and chief executive of Akron’s then 28-lawyer Roetzel & Andress law firm. Today, Roetzel & Andress, housed in the top three floors of the refurbished former O’Neil’s department store downtown, is one of the region’s largest firms. About 60 lawyers work in the Akron office, but the firm has a total of about 200 lawyers at 13 offices in four states. Ochsenhirt is now 65, and while he officially left the firm’s top post July 1, he’s not completely retiring. He plans to keep his hand in meeting with clients — making sure they’re happy — and developing new business....
