Engine 33 is scheduled to be closed Thursday, and after it's gone, residents could face longer wait times during a fire, firefighters said Tuesday. "It's insane," said Wayne County Commissioner Ilona Varga, D-Lincoln Park, who lived in southwest Detroit for more than 30 years.
