Newcastle United have been ordered to pay another compensation package to an Irish junior club by FIFA. Republic of Ireland junior international Jamie Smith, 18, who has captained his country at numerous under-age levels, joined the club in February 2010 and broke into the reserve squad last season. Although Newcastle did pay a fee to Dublin-based Cherry Orchard, they also owed compensation to his original club Newbridge Town who were forced to pursue their money through FIFA's Player status Committee.
