Staff Washington Business Journal The new North American Soccer League team headed to Ashburn next year on Wednesday got a name: Virginia Cavalry FC, The Washington Post reported. The name was selected after thousands of public submissions were narrowed to three: the Cavalry, the Stallions and the Dominion. The decision came from Bob Farren's VIP Sports and Entertainment, the same people who hope to bring the Loudoun Hounds baseball team and a new stadium for both teams to play in.
