Hall Martin’s first attempt at angel investing was a failure. “I lost all my money, but it didn’t scare me away — it showed me that I had a lot to learn,” he says. That was 17 years ago, and since then, Hall has focused on helping educate and connect angels — individuals who invest their own money into young companies — and entrepreneurs. After serving as executive director of the Central Texas Angel Network from 2006 through 2008, Hall went on to launch the Wilco Angel Network and the Baylor Angel Network.
