We're sure it would be possible for No. 1 Alabama to look even more perfect than it did Saturday night in Knoxville, Tenn. Mind you, we can't imagine how. If we could, maybe we'd have a better understanding of what makes Nick Saban tick. The Tide (7-0, 4-0 SEC) destroyed Tennessee 44-13, outgaining the Vols 535 yards to 282 in an effort so balanced, so workmanlike and so destructive that there's zero question Saban's team is stronger than it was last year at this point. But here's the thing about all that. The teams chasing the Tide are stronger than most anyone could've imagined, too. Show of hands if you saw that 44-11 score in Gainesville coming. Or—did it really happen?—that 55-14 score...
