(Source: Government of the Republic of Lithuania) On January 8 a Troop Withdrawal Coordination Group (TWCG) was formally deployed to Afghanistan from the Joint Headquarters of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The new contingent of the Lithuanian Armed Forces (LITHAF) will be in charge of organisation and coordination of the pull-out of Lithuania's operational forces from the compound of Chaghcharan Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT).
