Little peer-reviewed research on motocross injuries and deaths has been conducted, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Two of the few independent studies were conducted by orthopedic surgeon Amy McIntosh and other experts at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
