Brother Rice clinched a playoff spot for the 14th consecutive season by virtue of the victory. Brother Rice led 20-0 before LaSalle scored 26 consecutive points. Brian Walker's 1-yard touchdown run gave Brother Rice a 27-26 lead in the fourth quarter. Walker ran for 178 yards on 31 carries.
