BOSTON -- Not being able to play spoiler didn't sit well with cheerful Cody Ross and the Red Sox on Wednesday night. Ross and manager Bobby Valentine both were ejected after ferocious arguments with home-plate umpire Alfonso Marquez in the eighth inning of a 5-4 loss to the New York Yankees. Ross was called out on strikes on a pitch that might or might not have caught the low, outside corner of the strike zone. The outfielder first expressed calm frustration with the call but...
