The under-30s were the first to "feel the pain" of the recession – and may be the last to benefit when the economy recovers, according to the Resolution Foundation think tank. It warns that the 6.4 per cent reduction in annual pay for 16-29 year-olds between 2003-2010 has been overshadowed by the steep rise in youth unemployment to more than 1 million.
