A video of a gang of men molesting a young girl has sparked angry protests across India after it was aired by a local TV channel. And while four of the attackers have been apprehended, some activists say the incident highlights how poorly women's rights are taken in this country. Just this week, a council of village elders in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh - issued a so-called diktat banning women from using mobile phones, and from moving about freely. Even though local officials have condemned the move as illegal, it's a worrying development in the world's largest democracy.
