MUMBAI: Four months into taking over the reins at Tata Motors, Karl Slym, managing director of India's largest automaker by revenues, has initiated a major restructuring exercise with an intent to become by 2012 the second largest carmaker in sales and maintain leadership position in the commercial vehicle space in the country.
